Information about health, injury, pain and niggles is special-category personal data. Where Two Tone Running relies on your explicit consent to process this information, the consent request is kept separate and describes the purpose of the processing.
Health-related information is used only where relevant to coaching, exercise selection, training adjustments, safety conversations or responding appropriately to information you provide. It is not used for advertising.
6. Who we may share information with
We use service providers only where reasonably necessary to operate Two Tone Running. These may include:
- Stripe for payment processing and payment records;

We do not sell personal information to advertisers.
7. International processing
Some technology suppliers may process or support information from outside the UK. Where UK data-protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we aim to use an appropriate legal mechanism such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards.
8. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. The criteria used include:
- whether your coaching or purchased service is still active;
- whether information is still useful for delivering or reviewing your programme;
- the sensitivity of the information, particularly health-related information;
- legal, tax and accounting record-keeping requirements;
- the need to resolve complaints, payment queries or potential legal claims; and
- whether you have requested deletion and there is no overriding reason to retain the information.
Where information is no longer needed, it should be deleted or anonymised.
9. Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances and lawful basis, you may have rights including access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent.
Your right to object: where personal information is processed on the basis of legitimate interests, you may object to that processing. We will consider the circumstances and any compelling legitimate grounds for continuing.
To exercise a right, email dave@twotonerunning.co.uk.
10. Complaints about your information
Please contact Two Tone Running first if you have a concern so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Information about raising a concern is available at ico.org.uk.
11. Cookies, local storage and similar technology
The public Two Tone Running website is designed without advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies. The athlete app may use local browser storage, service-worker caches and similar technical storage where needed for login state, app operation, preferences, resilience and diagnostics.
If non-essential analytics or advertising technology is added in future, this notice and any required consent controls will be updated before that processing is relied on.
12. Children
The standard online services are intended for adults. Coaching for anyone under 18 should only be arranged directly with appropriate parent or guardian involvement and any additional safeguarding arrangements required for that service.
